Fall clothes trends for a college freshman girl?

I'm going back to school clothes shopping in a few days. Any recommendations on what to buy? I don't want to spend a lot.

I normally wear boho/preppy/feminine type style (I find it very similar to the things sold at Forever 21). But I'm open for anything.
I'm average height, and sorta curvy yet thin at the same time.... if that makes a difference.
