Everytime I didn't pre-rinse my dishes there ALWAYS would be food and grime left in it! Ugh!
 
Who are the experts ? They are from the industry. The more washer get malfunction/breakdown and more chance a new washer will be bought and may be ££££ or $$$$ bonuses. ha ha ha

Dishwasher or not, I always pre-rinse or 'soaked' them which make life much easier.
 
If you spend time pre rinsing, it almost the same as washing them by hand. Plus you are using extra water.
 
i always have crap left on my dishes if i don't pre-rinse. the crap might be clean though; i'm not an expert.
