...the gearbox has gone.? I recently had a clutch , timing belt and water pump change on my Citroen c4 vtr+ 1.6 petrol(£500).Three days later my gear box has gone while driving. im not a mechanic or any thing like that but i know the gearbox and clutch work together and nothing was wrong with my gear box before hand. also the guy who recovered my car said it could be the mechanics could be at fault so im just wondering if the mechanics could be at fault.

it is likely to be the fault of the person who installed the clutch, however getting the money back to change the gear box would be very difficult. The whole procedure of disconnecting the engine to the gearbox and clutch would have to be done, and this in itself is an expensive procedure.
