Text messaging across north america ?

I am from Canada, and am in a 3 year plan with Telus. I am visiting the united states, and currently have the Unlimited texting plan. Will it cost more to send texts from out of the country?

I have basically the same plan as you (With Bell, 10 dollars a month for unlimited texting)And I travel to the United States (California and Florida) everymonth and a half, and yes it does cost you extra sadly.You get charged roaming fees up the ying yang.You can talk to your cellphone comany about it..I know they have a travellers thing you can add on so thats its not so bad.I made the mistake of not putting the travellers thing on,and i didn't know about the roaming fees...I was in the states for only ONE month, didnt use my phone THAT much, and got charged over 1000 FREAKING DOLLARS.It was a horrid
