I am looking to purchase plants for outside. The issue is there are a lot of white tail deer and they seem to eat everything. Is there one plant they won't or can't eat? I do not want to put up a 8ft mesh fence or anything like that. If anybody has a good idea for a certain plant or a working idea on keeping the deer away, please tell. The property is in Montauk Long Island. So if anybody on here is from out there, please instruct. Thanks.

"I use a combination of oil and garlic as pesticide: 100 grams of crushed garlic soaked in 20 mL of vegetable oil for 12 hours." Anne L. has a slightly different recipe: "A mixture of one part garlic juice and 10 parts water will keep away most insects and animals including Canada geese and deer. You have to reapply weekly/after rain." it's a Canadian thing to try
