Ringtones = good. Spam = bad. Is Myxer Safe?

There is a bunch of ringtones i really want, all up on myxer, but I am kinda worried that my email and/or my phone number will be given away and/or spammed.. i'd rather find a different site if myxer isn't a reliable website.. anybody know?

Also, can you download the ringtone to your computer and then export it to your phone or do you have to download/send it to your phone.. i know downloading files costs money if you don't have internet so i don't want to do that..
