whoa calm down. ok we all know that doctors military and teachers deserve more $$$ but nobody pays to see them work. its about advertising, these players make millions for the owners, the NFL and the TV networks and only get a fraction of that. so they do deserve it.

It's entertainment. The same reason a popular actor gets $10 million a movie, because people will pay to see it. People pay a lot of money to go to the games and that money funnels to the owners and the players.

I agree that there are much more important jobs in the world. But as long as people pay the money it's going to be that way.
