Do you have to buyout your contract for telus to switch from a venus to a blackberry?

my venus recently broke and i have my eyes set on buying a blackberry storm, im one and a half years into my 3-year contract, and im just wondering how much it would cost to switch to a blackberry type plan, or if it costs anything at all. my mom says it'ss cost her a fortune, and telus wasn't any help telling me what to do over the phone. Would you explain to me what's involved for switching plans?

Usually, if you are willing to upgrade to a Berry plan then TELUS will do it. They may want you to restart you 3 year contract (because you are only at the half-way point) or they may let your existing deal run its course. It's totally up to TELUS what will happen.
