how do you cook oatmeal on the stove top?

I haven't done it in a while so I totally forgot. What's the water to oatmeal ratio and cooking time?
i dont have the box the oatmeal is in a different container
they are regular oats

exact cooking directions please

Read the container of oatmeal. It has direction Right there.

2 parts water to 1 part oatmeal.

I fill my sauce pan with water half way..allow to boil..add enough Whole Oats to cover the very top of the water(floating)..give it a stir..and cover..boil one minute..and turn off the heat--let just sit..until nice.
