Do you think it can happen in a way?

I have just finished watching Pride and Prejudice (2005, my favorite) for the fifth time. I was wondering if a very similar scenario could still happen in today's modern society, (the tale between Darcy and Elizabeth basically), including all the MAIN components of it? Please do your best to create a likely scenario.
