I've got a Macbook Core, (Mac OS X)
and I've downloaded 2 movies:
Transformers 2 and The Hangover.
I've downloaded the free movie license and the recommended player ( VLC ) but I can't get them to play,
When I play one, an error shows up and it shows in the video screen; random squares of light :O
I've even downloaded the Xvid codec thing. xD

What am I doing wrong?

first thing.. when ever you d/l a movie and it says you need to download an extra codec... your downloading a virus, secondly google "cccp" it the combined comunity codec pack it has every codec you'll need and it's a quick install... good luck with that virus bud.

Convert the movies to MP4 then use iTunes to play them.

I recommend iSkysoft Video Converter for Mac which can convert video formats from one to another with perfect output quality and high conversion speed for Mac OS X users.

It supports all popular video formats including FLV, MKV, MOD, WMV, ASF, MPEG1, MPEG2, MP4, 3GP, 3G2, MOV, AVI, M2TS, TOD, TS/TP (for HD Video), etc.

Hope it helps!
