Someone in a car came and took pictures of my house, should I be worried?

Just now a car drove slowly in front of my house and stopped. My window was open(so they could clearly see me) as I was on the computer. I peeked to look outside and the passenger of the car took a picture(I saw the flash) as I looked at them and drove off.

Should I be worried? Do they have a right taking pictures of me or my house?
I just walked outside so see what they were trying to take a picture of and I saw the sae car driving away and stopped and reverse. I walked back in and they stood in front of my house for a few mins as if they were taking more pictures of waiting...

It's possible it was someone from your county auditor's office if they're reappraising all the properties. Or the census has been sending staff around to verify all the addresses in an area so the 2010 census can be more complete.

Or there could be a problem! If they're still around, try to get a license number or at least a good description of the car and call the non-emergency police number and see what they say.

While it is perfectly legal for anyone to take pictures of your hoise (or you on a public street), the situation you describe should be cause for some alarm. try to note the plate of the vehicle in case there is any future event related to this. Also, ask yourself who you're enemies are? Are you involved with Scientology or other cults? Are you an animal rights protester?

What you are describing is not a law enforcement situation - this is some amatuer. I would deeply consider who you have had even incidental contact with, and then consult an attorney in your area for appropriate advice on how to properly and appropriately address this.
