Back in October of 2008 my husband went to get a truck from someone that was not paying for it. It was supposed to be a weekend trip and we were assured that the truck was in running order. When he started to drive it it was not running properly. He had to leave it at a mall and called a local friend of ours to pick it up and house it for us.
He said that he would and that of course they would take a look at it see what needed to be fixed. We were told they picked up the truck and they were going to house it for us until my husband could take time off to go pick it up.
My husband is in the USN and he has to be able to make the trip there and back in one weekend we inquired about the truck several times and were told it was there and we were verbally told estimates.
My husband goes to pick up the truck and now all of a sudden they have never seen the truck and it was never picked up. We don't have a written contract and we don't know what to do.
