what's up with all the re-runs for gossip girl? is the season over or something? when's it coming back?

The show got picked up for a full season (22 episodes) but because of the Writer's Strike, they only finished the first 9. They are repeating the first 9 episodes but now that the STRIKE IS OVER there will be *brand new* episodes starting in April!

They started playing re-runs for Gossip Girl due to the Writers Strike. But now, since the strike is over, the writers are writing the script. The first season is not over yet. Four or five more episodes will be aired in April/May depending on how much time is needed to write/film/and edit.

im not sure either! but i think part of it has to do with the writers strike . . . also, with tv shows, they show 1 seasons worth of shows, then play the season over agian, then they do a new season, then they re run it again. its dumb.
