looking to use it for tough trails and dirt jumping, but im mainly wondering about how good the components are.

diamond backs arn't all that great from the start. the frames arn't very good. the response sport doesnt have a very good fork, brakes and i think its heavy and im not sure of the price. i cant find the xe but i found comp and its more pricy with not much better components but i still dont know how much it costs. the specialized hardrock sport is a really nice bike for 500 and the specialized rockhopper is very nice for 640. id look into those 2.

WROOOOOOOOOONG!!!!

Diamondback makes extremely good bikes. I currently use a DB Response XE and upgraded most of the parts to that of the Comp/Sport and spent $100 less or so then if I was to buy the Comp/Sport.

For DJing the Response is a winner with the hardbox. There are guys out there right now jumping with a Response under them. I for one have a large and use it for XC but would def. get a medium size frame for DJing.

Silent Ass is just another Crapalized (Specialized) groupie.
