    yes, 100% safe, but make sure it's the real DivX and not some fake.

    Anyone know if Divx is safe?

    I want to watch a movie online but to do so it is requiring me to download divx...is this safe? Does anyone know? I have been told by some that it is and some that it isn't. Please help, really want to see the movie. Only place i have been able to find it is online at the website wanting me to download divx

    The Divx codec is required to view some on-line movies. Some on-line software is completely safe and some contains viruses. I would hazard a guess that if you are trying to watch porn, that Divx player will have a virus.

    Try this one, which comes from a very reputable place known for safe software http://www.download.com/divx-player/
