looking to buy my first system. my friend has 2 kicker 10''s with a 1000w amp and kicker speakers and i really like it. but i was walking through best buy one day and they had 2 jl 10''s hittin and they were awesome. so i like those brands, but they are expensive. im lookin to spend around 1k. i want subs at least 10''s, amp 800w or more, and speakers, dont care about head unit. what is the best bang for buck brands, and are there any places cheap online to get them, or buy straight from the manufacturer. also has anyone dealt with millionbuy.com they look good. thanks. oh i have a 97 chevy 1500 ex. cab 3 door. thanks

for the money kicker with a cheap amp just use twice the rms. if you buy 2 kickers at 400 watts each and you want to get a cheap amp make sure it is 1600 watts plus. if you are going to get a better amp e.g. kicker kenwood, alpine then match up the rms so 800 would be fine.
