Atheist men, why didn't you pick a religion where you would be revered?

1. Because I'm not above anybody and nobody is above me. We're all equal.
2. I don't believe in a god or gods.

As in, you had the option of becoming atheist and then studying how in some religions, then man is giving Lord like powers over their Girlfriends/wives and what not. Because I believe in Islam, at least in the middle east, the woman has to basically do what you say with no if ands or buts. You could make her do whatever you want. And now dont quote me on it though, but I believe that if you would ask a woman to marry you or something like that, and they refused, you can throw acid in their face. I know this happened before, but I just can't remember where I saw it from.

But still, why did you not choose any religion, since you don't believe in the God anyway, but could still benefit from the perks by "following" in that religion? Especially one that gives you great power over people.
no, not a "slaver", but whatever you said would go.
Christians dont have that power, well, biblically they dont. So no, that's not me. :)

Not all men seem to want to control their partner, in my experience only the deeply insecure would want this.... luckily my partner is my equal & doesn't need to do this for me to please him, I'd do it because I love him, not out of a sense of fear.... something freely given is worth much more than the devotion of slaves don't you think?...

I don't have any wish to be revered..

Let alone "since you don't believe in the God anyway, but could still benefit from the perks by "following" in that religion..."

That's just unethical in the least and downright reprehensible. Is that what you do because you can?
