Do guys go to the gym to flirt?

There's this really cute guy that goes to the same gym as me. I see him quite often. He stares at me deeply. Today I was near the fountain and he stared back deeply (as I passed by him). Also, I went inside the weightroom and he was nodding at his friend (like making eye contact and gestures as I passed by). The problem is that he saw my hairy arms and I was all sweaty. He was scratching his arms. Why would he scratch his arms? How do I look cute at the gym (if I work hard)?

Yeah I know that guy, he's gay.
