define religion and spiritual and the connotations of each?

Without using Webster, I'd say that religion is basically a system of beliefs. These may or may not have any positive impact on a person's spiritual health. On the other hand, spirituality has to do with a spiritual perspective entirely, which again may not be viewed as helpful or that which supports an acceptable moral position, depending on a person's choice as to what are good and evil spiritual traits.
I am convinced that we are spirits having a human experience
rather than human beings having a spiritual experience. Our spirits will not die, just our humanity (the body and all it implies). Think about this: if you did not have a physical body as you have now, but just the you that is on the inside, what would you be spending your time on?
