Why do some people(HOMO SAPIENS) think they hold a special place in this universe?

I don't understand why some people think that everything in the universe was created for their pleasure?

I find that we are just part of something rather than everything is for us.

If the sun does NOT revolve around man, neither does nature nor does the universe!

Ugh! That's why I hate people. They think they are so god damned special. Yeah right! If it were not for animals people wouldn't be here. This is the reason I am becoming a veterinarian because I'd rather help animals then people.

Because
1) People are prone to wishful thinking.
2) People are naturally self-centered since it provides an evolutionary advantage.
