Which motor oil and oil filter should I use for my Honda Accord 2002 LX 4cylinder?

Which motor oil and oil filter should I use for my Honda Accord 2002 LX 4cylinder if I only drive about 10,000 miles a year? I was thinking about buying Mobil 1 Extended performance that goes up to 15,000 miles, but I heard you should change your oil every 6 months even if you didn't hit the 15,000 miles mark.

Another question, how long does oil filters last? If I buy Mobil 1 extended performance motor oil, do i have to buy Mobil 1 Extended performance oil filter? Or I can use any oil filters? Does the oil filters last until the motor oil is dirty?
