Which is better, the HTC desire C or Samsung Galaxy W I8150?

I'm looking into buying a touch screen phone and I have decided I should buy either the Samsung Galaxy W I8150 or the desire C. The Samsung is a bit more expensive, but as far as I have read it doesn't give much problems and most reviews just comment on the flimsy back cover. Whereas the HTC Desire C is a solid phone, but can be a bit slow at times.

Obviously I would like to have the cheaper one, but am I going to be frustrated with it, being a bit slow at times? Also the Samsung has an older OS.. would that be irritating? Or can it be updated?
