What is a cheap street legal dirt bike?

Im 15 and a little over 6 feet tall and weigh 160 pounds. Im looking for a dirt bike that i can ride around on the street and my price range is a maximum of around $600. O and i also live in the US if that helps. Im just looking for something to mess around on with friends.

check with your local state offices but basically as a general rule ANY dirt bike can be made street legal with some very easy and cheap modifications.

most states only require a break light, turn signals, a head lamp, and a lic. plate light. certain states like here in arizona you dont even have to have turn signals. rigging up a plate light and turn signals is very easy and cheap (under $20) so if your state laws allow for it, buy whatever you can afford and just make the modifications to get it street legal. (btw, depending on your state you might need a different exhaust as well depending on state requirements)

EDIT: you will need a mirror too. usually just one. still easy and cheap install.
