What amp should I look to get for my stereo?

I have a dolby stereo and a fisher record player. The record player works but it's significantly quieter than the CD's, tapes, or auxiliary chord plugged into my computer. So I think I need to get an amp for it. What kind of amp should I get (not looking to spend too much money) or if there is a different solution please let me know. Also if you need a more specific model number on the stereo and record player or the speakers just ask.

It sounds like you need to install a phono pre-amp between the turntable & the stereo.
