I have a 1994 Ski Doo Safari and I've been riding it quite a bit. Just the other day when I was returning from a day on the trails, I turned it off for a quick break then when I attempted to turn it back on (with the electric start, my pull start is broke) it made a screeching noise then went forward a bit, but didn't turn on. It repeated this once more than after that it just made a screeching sound when I tried to turn the key. Multiple people told me it was the starter. Now when I try to turn it on it just makes a humming sound. I don't know much about snowmobiles or engines/starters, so if anyone could give me tips and or detailed instructions on how to fix this, I'd appreciate it.
