Talk about a misguided and dangerous party. It's disgusting that so many young people are enthralled by it, and that it's becoming trendy.
Limited government and lower taxes? So what, you want Wal-Mart and Microsoft to take over America, like it's in our best interest? What would we do in wartime?
Street smarts will tell anyone this party will never ever succeed or become popular, and here's why:
1. By limiting the power of the government under the impression that corporations and people will do the right thing, you are essentially starting an anarchy and instigating chaos.
2. Libertarians are under the impression that corporations are entities that are perfect. They're as perfect as a hand-drawn circle. Corporations would love nothing more than to be the government.
3. That said, most smart people already know the government is controlled by our richest elites. They're not going to give up the power they have because they're not stupid. They and most leaders know every civilization needs leaders and a ruling authority. Reagan and his kind only preached deregulation because it suited their interests, not because they believed in it!
4. That said, the ruling elites will never allow the media to even give this party the time of day. You will never see anyone supporting it on any news station. Even if most Americans voted Libertarian in an election, the results would be rigged, or the Libertarians wouldn't be allowed to take office. The Libertarian Party is as retarded as Communism.
So keep up the Ron Paul rallies. They're futile, but if it makes you happy...then so be it!
