i bought a schwinn ditch 1.0 mountain bike. how do i adjust the rear suspension to make it tighter/less bounce in my ride/firmer ride? here is a pic of the rear suspension:

it looks like i can just twist the nut down to compress the spring, but do i need a tool to do this or can i do it by hand? thanks.
