A solemn Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted boarding a plane back to Portugal on Sunday lunchtime. Ronaldo skippered his nation at the World Cup but succumbed to defeat at the last-16 stage following defeat to Uruguay. Edinson Cavani proved a thorn in the side of the Portuguese as he netted twice to end their involvement in the 2018 competition. Portugal left Zhukovsky Airport in Moscow to begin their summer holidays before the start of the new season and Ronaldo was caught by the cameras in the terminal building.
