Okay so I installed my stereo today after finding out that I had no power running to my red wire from the car. So the guy at an auto store told me I could just fuse the two red wires with the two yellow so I did. But every time I get in the car and crank it, the settings go back to normal. What should I do? I dont know much about cars so could yall maybe send pics or something? Or explain in detail what I need to do. Thanks so much.

Is it anything bad? Will it mess up my car or should I not worry about it?

You should have someone go back into the wire harness and wire it correctly so everything runs and operates normally.

Its nothing too bad you don't have to worry. The problem is that the red wire is only supposed to supply power when you turn the key on your car and as soon as you turn it off the power completely shuts off. The yellow wire is what stays constant even with your key turned off to keep your settings saved so its turning off along with the red wire. What you have to do is separate the yellow wire from the red ones and look for the one that its supposed to be paired with. It should also be yellow but in different makes of cars the color changes so you can google a wiring diagram for your vehicle so you can find out what the proper wire to pair the yellow one with is. Hope this helps good luck.
