I am originally a Portuguese citizen and was born there I have a Portuguese identity card, but I have been living in England for over 8 years. I am wanting to go and stay with family this summer. After reading the Ryanair policies it said...
''Portuguese nationals and alien residents under 18 years leaving or re-entering Portugal, to or from a non-Schengen member state unaccompanied by their father, mother or legal guardian need a travel authorisation. This must be signed by both parents or legal guardian with the signature notarised if the parents or legal guardian reside in Portugal; or authenticated by a Portuguese embassy or consulate in the country where the parents or legal guardian reside.''

I am not completely sure what is meant by this. I know the UK is a non-shengen country, but what is meant by this travel authorization? Surely a letter signed by my parents isn't credible enough.
