can i keep bittorrent and utorrent in one computer at the same time?

I used to download torrents using bittorrent sometime and utorrent sometime at speeds of 260 kbps. i have both doftwares installed on my computer.
recently i am getting very low download speeds of 50 kbps on both torrent clients. i have changed many settings, used cheat engine, used utorrent turbo accelerator. but its of no use.

can it be a problem of two torrent clients clashing as both are installed??

Torrenting software usually uses large a large amount of computer running capacity! As in your computer can only run so much without getting slow! Having 2 torrenting softwares may slow this down because of that. Hope this helps!
