I recently bought a Sony Bravia Home Theater System online and while im waiting for it to get here I was wondering what's the best way to set it up. I have a 32" Sony Bravia LED TV and it only has 2 HDMI Slots. I use one for the HD DVR and the other for my PS3. I want to use the System for playing games, watching movies/tv, and sports so whats the best way I should hook it up?

Your Sony Bravia system is NOT a AV Receiver. You cannot run HDMI through it.

Does the Bravia system have an optical input? Many of the box systems do not. If your system does have an optical input, look on the back of your HDTV. It should have an optical output.

Get a optical cable and run it from the HDTV optical output to the input on the Home Theater system. You may need to go into the TV setup menu and turn ON the optical output (which will disable the TV speakers to avoid conflict).

Then turn on your Home Theater system and switch to the optical input. Everything the TV shows (DVR, PS3) should now be coming through the home theater speakers.

Good Luck
