What they probably didn’t expect though was a man on a bicycle giving them the thrill of their day before they even entered the event. That’s because the man on the bicycle was none other than Barry Bonds, who rode down to surprise the fans and hold an impromptu autograph session.

Bonds was not scheduled to make an appearance at the event, so his arrival was a total shock to those who met him.— Barry L Bonds (@BarryBonds) February 11, 2017
Of course, Bonds knew exactly what was going on, so his decision to ride by AT&T Park was clearly intentional. We don’t necessarily think he was aiming to steal any thunder from the team. In fact, the team even acknowledged his presence on Twitter.
He had to know though that his arrival would create some buzz.

Regardless of his intentions, it appears he made a lot of fans happy. That’s what matters most, so we’ll call it a Barry good day by the Bay.— San Francisco Giants (@SFGiantsFans) February 11, 2017
