Specifically, is the OS7 upgradable on the Blackberry Curve 3G (9300)?

i want to know opinions from people who own these phones

I want to get a bold 9780, but I heard that the new 9900 will have OS7. The touch screen doesn't interest me, but I would like to have the latest version of the software. Is blackberry OS usually upgradable or should I wait and buy the 9900?
