Problem is the file is over 5gb, when dvd discs are generally no more than 4.7gb. Is there a way to either make the file smaller or convert it to another format so it can fit on a dvd disc and be played on most dvd players?

See I have an MDF image thats actually a movie on my computer, but I don't know how to make it bootable- that is, be able to play it on my dvd player. Can you do it with alcohol 120? If so, please tell me STEP BY STEP how to make it bootable. Thank you.
