If you're already familiar with the ALT codes and the FN+ALT doesn't work, just buy a USB number pad. They're cheap.

Here's an old idea: a friend wouldn't ask you to help him cheat. A real friend would know you, would have some idea of what your values are and wouldn't even ask. You might think he's your friend but he thinks you're his passport to a higher grade. Friends don't take advantage of one another...
Laptops don't have much room inside but a disk is nice and thin. Desktops, on the other hand, have plenty of room. If your sister didn't "lock" the disk down onto the spindle, when the drive started spinning, it probably flung the disk inside the computer. I wouldn't try to get it out of a...
You don't say whether you just want to burn a data disk (simply burn the file onto a disk) or if you want to make a playable DVD with a menu that will automatically start playing.
If you want to make a playable DVD, one possibility is to use a DVD authoring program that you can load the mp4...
First, when you burned a DVD using Media Player, you made a Data DVD which means it won't play automatically. You can put it into a computer (and some DVD players), open it and double click on the file to run it.
Second, it's too bad you can't tell us what the error message said when you...
Any video longer than 10 minutes is a lot of work for computers that aren't specifically set up to make videos. Most computers have 4 Gb of RAM, 500 Gb HD and a cheap, slow processor. They work great for most of the things we do with computers but over time the HD has less free space and more...
If you still have the original videos, convert them to WMV files. Even AVI files will work as long as they have nothing to do with DivX or Xvid. Both of these give all versions of WMM the fits.
If you don't have the original clips anymore, try converting the DivX files to WMV.
Movie Maker (and usually Media Player) gags on Xvid and VidX encoded videos. You've got to recode using another codec. Try one of the wmv codecs. I've had H264 AVIs work in the Vista version.

Before you uninstall using Start>Control Panel>Programs and Features always look in the Start>All Programs list for the software you want to uninstall and, if it's a folder (and not just an icon), open it and see if it has uninstallers.
Revo uninstaller is one of the best. I always prefer to...

You tube is a video site.
Find a nice photo that goes with the song, import it into Movie Maker and onto the Timeline/Storyboard. Drag your song onto the Music Track. Hover the cursor over the right edge of the photo until it turns into a double-headed arrow, click and drag the photo until...
That's bad x 2. "Stealing from parents" which gives them a reason not to trust you and "cigarette" which moves you right down into the realm of low-class-don't-know-no-better.
Vista Home Premium, 32 bits.
I downloaded and installed the free Flashback Express screen capture software 2 days ago. I like the program's ease of use and functionality but it only offers 5 codecs to save the screen capture to AVI: DivX 5.1.1, 2 intel codecs, Microsoft Video1, Cinepak by...
Whenever you download anything that you're going to install in your machine, right click on its Zip or rar file or on it's icon if it self-installs, and run virus and spyware scans.
WOT (Web of Trust) also provides a handy (and free) tool to check websites for hidden malware. You can also...
Geez, where have you been holed up? When I first began traveling outside the U.S. in the late 1960's I made up a Canadian biography for myself "just in case" I was asked about my nationality. Americans have always had a not-so-nice reputation around the world. If someone asks, instead of...
Light is a particle called a photon which behaves like a wave. It has immense energy and travels at , ta-da....the speed of light, 186,282.4 miles per second. Light doesn't need any "helper" molecules to move it along. Light can move through a vacuum like space. It moves through the air and...
