My compressor is making a whining noise "only when the rpm goes up" and "only when the AC is on"
My engine has only one belt therefore the compressor does not have an independent belt.
I turn the ac off, the whining goes. I turn it on and it comes!

the new part i got from autozone will not bolt on, i checked on the internet and its showing it is the correct replacement piece. i cleaned off all the old gasket material, but the bolt holes is like a quarter of an inch off set. has anyone had this problem?
