I am trying to lose weight and I am living at college. So dining hall food is not exactly the most nutritious food. How can a eat healthy while not spending a fortune on food? I want to lose about 40 pounds if that makes any difference. I will also be exercising not just changing my eating patterns.

I want to spend a year or so in the US and for I have not enough money to live from my savings one year, I need to work there as a waitress or something like that. Nothing too "serious".
So I'm wondering what visa I need...? If I can work as a foreigner without any US passport and insurances.
