    Cheap Surround Sound?

Cheap speakers will always sound, well... cheap. I suggest you buy a used 1980's stereo off Craigslist for $50-100. That money could easily net you a 50WPC stereo reciever, a pair of floor-standing loudspeakers with 10" or 12" woofers, a tape deck and turntable, plus all needed cabling. Your DVD...

Is there a way to rip music from Myspace in Stereo? Audacity only rips in Mono.?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Myspace audio IS monophonic, and it's probably only at about 64kb, too. If you want decent demo tracks, PM a band, and if you just want to pirate music, use a P2P network or try Bittorent.

whats the watts mean on a stereo?

I agree with Downcount, but I will add this: If a product doesn't provide wattage figures in RMS and at a distortion figure lower than 10%, they're fudging, and the stereo is assuredly crap. There's no good (or possible, even) audio equipment maker that openly lies about specifications...

Circuit City liquidation: best time to "leap" ?

Duplicator? Technicolor was a maker of vibrant color stocks that trounced Kodak, leading people to use the company's name as an adjective for anything that was really dynamic or hyperreal. If they make DVDs and are going bust, oh well. Plenty of other companies, especially Sony, stamp DVD media...

What type of DJ headphones should i get?

The MDR-V6/7506 are a golden standard in field monitoring applications, and should be rugged enough for DJ work. In particular, they're rather high fidelity, and many are used for home listening enjoyment, too. The V6 is the consumer model, the 7506 is Sony's pro-line. Both are basically the...

    How to steal internet?

Only way is social engineering. Maybe. There's too many checks andtoo much cross-referencing these days. A Mitnick-type probably could have screwed AOL circa '98, but this isn't 1998, and you probably want broadband. Just pony up the cash, ok? That, or make an arrangement with your neighbor.

mozilla firefox vs Windows Internet Explorer?

Internet Explorer isn't even compatible with basic W3C HTML standards, so I think there's no case to be made for IE's superiority save the notion that popularity must be based in rational consumers maximizing their utility.

    whats wrong with my walkman?

Seriously, just RMA if warrantied. If not, replace. Your charger/charging ciruitry is defective, and I think it took out the player. Definitely not normal behavior for ANY MP3 portable.

Will internet work on a IBM Thinkpad 380XD?

Yeah, it will. I used the Internet on an 10mhz 80286 with a 20MB hard disk, so your system will bear. Just understand that sites will load very very slowly unless you use an old browser like Netscape 3.04 or stick to a text browser like Lynx. Adding more RAM to go above 32MB will also help. On...

How do I connect my mac laptop to stereo speakers?

Yes, you can. Get a 3.5mm to RCA patch, attach the 3.5mm jack to your Macintosh's headphone jack, and attach to the RCA jacks to an input on a PA amp, bookshelf system, home theater unit, stereo reciever, .etc, .etc. Consult your stereo's manual for information on its inputs and operation thereof.

does this motherboard support internet broadband connection or do have

I see it's got an I750 chipset, so it's a very current board. No need to worry, then, because all mainboards in the last five years or so ship standard with an RJ45 port. Some even ship with gigabit Ethernet as opposed to 10/100! >>Onboard LAN Max LAN Speed 10/100/1000Mbps Yours is actually...

How do you change the screen-saver in Linux?

Well, you have Linpus, and I'm not sure it's the greatest introduction to Linux. Perhaps check out Ubuntu Netbook Remix, instead. As for the screensaver? Try opening up a terminal and typing xscreensaver. That, or poke through the setup menus (if they exist). In the futiure, tell people it's...

What laptop should I get all I use it for is the internet?

Asustek EEEpc. Best Buy has a very basic model for $279. It runs Linux, so no malware nasties, has a full gigabyte of RAM, which is twice what you'll actually use now, and should carry you through a good four years of Ubuntu bloating, and uses a 4GB flash drive to store your data. Yes, that's...
