Why won't my Xbox 360 play Divx/Xvid files after comming back from repair?
i just got my 360 back from RoD (red ring of death) repair. It wont recognize usb flash drives. i plug one in, and nothing. also, i set up media center extender to stream files from my MCE computer. The thumbnails for all my xvid/divx files appear, but when i click to play them, says the codec is not installed or file is corrupt. I know i have the latest dashboard update as i play on Live all the time, so it would have updated if it need to. the file is not corrupt bucause i used to play that file via xbox 360 all the time before the red ring of death and repair.
any have any idea why i am unable to play xvid/divx files anymore...and how can i fix it?
It should have all the latest updates, as i play online all the time. if it were missing the update, it would have already d/l it.
the optional media update was already installed. i downloaded it again, and nothing, same thing.
