Ripping dvd with good quality using xvid?

I can find 1 hour TV Shows that I have missed online in xvid format at around 350mb and is very good quality. Yet, when I try to rip some of our DVD TV shows to the NAS using xvid format at around 350mb fixed, I can never get the same quality. I've tried dozens of software using free trails. I'd like to think i have a decent system. Win7 64 using i7 2.8gh, Radeon HD5770 video card, 6gb memory. anyone have any suggestions?

I recommend DVDFab DVD copy. It is really good. You could choose the profile of output. The effect of output is good.
