how to convert & combine XVID,avi(7 files each 100MB) files into movie format...

...and watch in REAL player / VLC p I downloaded around 7 movie files of XVID from internet, but i am unable watch, how to combine these files & convert into movie format to watch in real player or vlc player, please advice?
