For computer codecs, which ones cause problems with the Xvid codec?
Hi, I have had this problem for a while and have not been able to figure it out. It all has to do with the Xvid codec and Windows Movie Maker/DVD Maker. When I burn a DVD in DVD Maker, for example, and I try to burn an Xvid file, the aspect ratio will be screwed up (it's supposed to be 16:9 but turns out as 4:3). Then, if I disable the checked "Compatibility Renderer" in the Xvid Decoder Settings, whenever I burn a DVD the menu will have a large green bar at the bottom of the screen, squishing the video to the top half of the screen (this is also a problem with publishing a movie in Movie Maker). So, I was just wondering if anyone out there knows what codecs cause problems when in contact with the xvid codec. Help would be much appreciated! (I would especially like to know what codec causes the xvid codec to turn the bottom half of the screen green)
