so my parents have this rule that i can keep my phone in my room over night but i can't use it after 9:00 pm. and that i can't use my phone during school hours. they said that if they randomly check online that i texted or called someone during a restricted time, i'll get my phone taken away for the rest of the school year.
they said that they can read who i sent the message to, what time and date, and what i wrote in the message. can they really see all that or are they making it up?

Yeah they can actually check all that
my girlfriends mom would do it to her
and youre parents can also lock your phone so at a certain they can put your phone to lock so you cant make any calls or send any texts but you can receive them (unless its an emergency call like 911)

hopefully your parents dont know about this

but if you want you can send texts through instant messenger and they wont know about it

Everything is true except they cannot see what the message actually said. Just time, date and to who you sent/received it.

They can look all of that up very easily online. It lists the exact time the message was sent, to whom, all from Verizon's website. Believe them on this.
