I have a Verizon LG, and my fiance is getting the newest phone, the Voyager, and I want to know if we will have to buy a new charger? Anyone know, before I call and sit on hold forever? Thanks bunches!
I guess I will just take it to the store. Those people are so pushy when you walk in the door!! They make me angry.

probably not...you know they have to continue to make money some how....they should come up with a universal charger. It's annoying to have to pay for a new charger every time you get a new phone or an upgrade.

No the charger is specific to the creater of the phone: Samsung, Motorola, Blackberry...etc.

Somtimes the manufacturers use the same charger for a couple of their models, but only some.

No, not all Verizon phones are compatible in terms of chargers.

It does not matter that both phones are on the Verizon network, what matters is the manufacturer. Typically, as I understand it, all (or most) phones made my the same manufacturer (LG, in this case) will be able to use the same charger - but this is not necessarily the case. I have a LG VX8300, and my friend has a different LG phone model, and her charger does not fit into my phone.

I am not sure of the specifics about whether your LG charger would fit with the Voyager, but the Voyager is manufactured by LG - so I'd say that there's a good chance that it might.

If your fiance does purchase the new Voyager, I'm sure that it will come with a wall charger of its own.
