My truck wont move while in 2wd.?

I have a 2003 Chevy 1500 z-71. i was driving and the rear end blew out. there is fluid leaking out of the rear end and it wont move. if i put it in 4wd the truck will move in first and second gear. i know i am going to need a new differential but am i going to need a new transmission too?

no, you wont need a new tranny, but have your tranfer case, and your u-joint checked after you replace your rear-end....
