I have a 1994 jeep 6 cyl. Alot of times when shifting into reverse it will grind gears and i have my foot on the brake and the clutch all the way down. other times it wont go all the way in reverse. (i have a backup beaper for when i put it into reverse and it will beep and ill let of the clutch and it will still be in netrul) also i had stop driveing for 2 weeks and i started driveing it yesterday. it wouldint go into first some times.... hasint done it today. also i want to put new shocks on my jeep front and back.....what are good ones just for cruzeing around dont want to spend more then 200....i plan to do them myself are they hard to do........thanks

I believe that Jeep has a hydraulic clutch. Check the fluid in the clutch master cylinder to make sure it isn't low. It uses brake fluid. You could have a clutch master cylinder going bad, or the clutch slave cylinder going bad. The master cylinder isn't a huge pain to replace, but the transmission has to come out to change the slave cylinder. As far as shocks, just get whatever the parts store sells in your price range.
