Do you think baby's pick up mannerisms just by genetics alone?

It may seem crazy, but I thought I heard this before. I didn't ever give it a thought until I see my baby doing something that I do at only 3 weeks old. I play with my ear like someone may twirl their hair, or bite their nails. My mom said I did this from birth. Now I do it when I'm thinking, stressed, hungry or tired. Well, my 3 week old sleeps with at least one hand on her ear. Sometimes she is grabbing both with both hands. Do baby's pick up mannerisms genetically?

Well, finding out if there is a problem with her ear would be something that wouldn't hurt to look into. However, I've always rubbed my ear for comfort and still do to this day.

I very well could be wrong but my guess would be that it's learned, not genetic. (May be some genetic link but definitely not genetics alone.)
