An object is dropped from rest off a cliff. How fast is it traveling after 1 second?

How far does it fall after 1 second?

Force of gravity on Earth: 9.8 M/s

(WEIGHT DOES NOT AFFECT THE SPEED)

    1 second airborne, speed = 9.8 M/s

Well on earth, it will accelerate at 9.81 metres per second per second.

Times that by 1 second, and you get 9.81 metres per second.
